ITS Standards are essential in efficient implementation of ITS communication links between elements. The USDOT’s ITS Joint Program Office is supporting Standards Development Organizations (SDOs) with an extensive, multi-year program of accelerated, consensus-based standards development to facilitate successful ITS deployment in the United States. The National ITS Architecture Standards can be found here and guides development of ITS Standards regionally for CONNECT-IT.
